May 11 – SC-239, Low Range Radar Altimeter, will meet in in joint plenary with EUROCAE WG-119 at EUROCAE Headquarters in Saint-Denis, France. The group hopes to approve their guidance document, DO-399/ED-310, for publication at the June 2023 Program Management Committee meeting. The group also continues its work on a revision of DO-155/ED-30 which will be a Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) for Radar Altimeters.

May 16-18 – SC-235, Non-Rechargeable Lithium Batteries, will meet in Plenary virtually to continue comment resolution for DO-227B Final Review and Comment (FRAC). Publication is expected later this year.

May 16-18 – SC-237, Helicopter Terrain Awareness Warning System (HTAWS), will meet in joint plenary with EUROCAE WG-110 at RTCA Headquarters to continue work on a new MOPS for helicopter on-shore operations, scheduled for publication later this year.

May 18 – SC-224, Airport Security Access Control Systems, will meet virtually in Plenary to continue work on DO-230M, scheduled to be published in early 2024.

May 22 & 26 – SC-227, Standards of Navigation Performance, will meet in joint plenary with EUROCAE WG-85 hosted by Honeywell at Sky Harbor in Arizona. WG-2 will be preparing to enter Final Review and Comment (FRAC)/Open Consultation (OC) on the RNP MOPS, DO-283C, later this year. WG-3 continues its work to revise DO-257 to Rev C.

May 31 – SC-236, Standards for Wireless Avionics Intra-Communication System (WAIC) within 4200-4400 MHz, will meet in a virtual joint plenary session with EUROCAE WG-96 to consider a motion to initiate Final Review and Comment (FRAC)/Open Consultation (OC) on the new MOPS for WAIC systems.
