Aug 1 – SC-230, Airborne Weather Detection Systems, received guidance from the Program Management Committee and will meet virtually to discuss possible inclusion of new requirements for their MOPS addressing spectrum issues. This would also lead to a Terms of Reference (ToR) change.

Aug 4 – SC-238, Counter UAS, will meet jointly with EUROCAE WG-115 virtually to discuss the release of their SPR/INTEROP document for Final Review and Comment (FRAC)/Open Consultation (OC) and adjustments to timeline for publication later this year.

Aug 10 – SC-214 w/WG-78, Standards for Air Traffic Data Communication Services, will meet virtually with EUROCAE WG-78 to consider whether DO-352B/ED-230B and DO-353B/ED-231B are ready for FRAC/OC.

Aug 21-25 – SC-227 w/WG-85, Standards of Navigation Performance, will meet in joint plenary at RTCA. WG-1 and WG-2 will consider if the RNP MOPS and MASPS are ready to enter FRAC/OC. WG-3 will continue its work developing requirements for digitally derived charting.

Aug 23-24 – SC-237 w/WG-110, Helicopter Terrain Awareness Warning System (HTAWS), is meeting at EUROCAE Headquarters in Paris, France, to finalize the resolution of comments for the Onshore HTAWS MOPS. If approved, the document will be submitted to the RTCA PMC and EUROCAE Council for publication.

Aug 28 – SC-240 w/WG-117, Topics on Software Advancement, will meet for a virtual plenary session to discuss further updates to their ToR. The group intends to separate the topic of Service History from their planned software supplement which addresses COTS and Open Source software for aviation.
