Washington, DC, September 28, 2020 -RTCA, Inc. today announced the appointment of Carol Huegel to RTCA’s Advisory Board. Ms. Huegel most recently served as the Managing Director of Air Traffic and Surface Management Strategy for American Airlines. This appointment is effective September 22, 2020.

“As we continue to evolve RTCA’s scope and involvement in the aviation community, Carol will bring tremendous insights and perspectives to our Advisory Board.” said Terry McVenes, RTCA president and Chief Executive Officer. “Her experience in collaborating with FAA, airport operators, and industry will aid us in continuing our tradition of finding common ground for higher levels of safety, security, and efficiencies in global aviation.”

Ms. Huegel has a prominent, 30-year career in the global aviation industry, bringing safe, innovative solutions to balance demand and capacity in airspace systems and increase efficiency and reliability for the traveling public. In addition to her position at American Airlines, she has also served as the Customer Liaison ATO Service Office of the Federal Aviation Administration and as Senior Vice President for Business Development Advanced Research Engineering Development at Metron Aviation in Dulles, Virginia.
