SC-227 develops navigation standards for avionics equipment, airspace management, and navigation system users along with the requirements for displaying the information on electronic maps. Their work encompasses minimum operational performance standards (MOPS) and supports the development of enhanced navigation capabilities, including Required Navigation Performance (RNP) and trajectory-based operations. They are updating the requirements for electronic display to include digitally derived charting.
