Rob Frank

Rob Frank has been a leader in Aerospace and Defense technology for over 30 years, with experience spanning commercial avionics and military systems. He is currently the Head of Advanced Technology for Avionics at Collins Aerospace.

In this role, he leads the development and integration of next-generation technologies across a broad portfolio of avionics systems, including communications, navigation, and surveillance (CNS); integrated flight decks and head-up displays (HUDs); flight control systems; safety-critical computing; fire protection; air traffic control; ground safety networks; and onboard sensors. He collaborates with OEMs, operators, and industry leaders to accelerate innovation, enhance system safety and reliability, and streamline operational workflows.

Throughout his career at Collins Aerospace, Frank has held several senior leadership roles, including Vice President (Acting) of Avionics Engineering; Head of Navigation Engineering; Director of Advanced Radio Systems; and Principal Manager of Communications and Electronic Warfare Engineering. In his earlier defense-related roles, he specialized in tactical communications, dynamic networking, navigation, and situational awareness.

His leadership continues to shape the future of aerospace technology through a focus on open systems, advanced automation, and cross-domain integration.
