Mar 7 – 9 – SC-235, Non-Rechargeable Lithium Batteries, will meet in Plenary at Radiant Power Corporation, in Sarasota, FL to continue comment resolution for DO-227B Final Review and Comment (FRAC). Publication is expected later this year.
Mar 13 – 17 – SC-206, Aeronautical Information and Meteorological Data Link Services (w/ WG-76), will meet in Plenary at Airbus in Toulouse, France. They will complete work on a white paper for presentation to the Program Management Committee in June and continue work on DO-364A/ED-XXX.
Mar 15 – 16 – SC-147, Traffic Alert & Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) (w/ WG-75), will meet jointly with EUROCAE WG-75 to close Final Review and Comment (FRAC)/Open Consultation (OC) for DO-385A/ED-256A, MOPS for ACAS X (ACAS Xa and ACAS Xo). If approved, the document will be presented to the PMC for approval and publication.
Mar 16 – Program Management Committee, will meet at RTCA in Washington, DC. Scheduled is one document, one Terms of Reference (TOR) with delivery changes, and three administrative TORs for review and approval. Additionally, RTCA annual award nominations will be presented for approval.
Mar 17 – SC-214, Standards for Air Traffic Data Communication Services (w/ WG-78), will meet virtually with EUROCAE WG-78 to consider whether DO-350B/ED-228B and DO-351B/ED-229B are ready for Final Review and Comment (FRAC)/Open Consultation (OC).
Mar 20 – 24 – SC-223, Internet Protocol Suite (IPS) and AeroMACS (w/ WG-108), will be in a joint plenary session with EUROCAE WG-108 at RTCA in Washington, DC. At this plenary session, they hope to approve entering the Final Review and Comment (FRAC)/Open Consultation (OC) review cycle on the IPS MASPS. During the plenary, the group will work to close comments received during an internal review cycle.
Mar 23 – SC-224, Airport Security Access Control Systems, will meet virtually in Plenary to continue work on DO-230M, scheduled to publish in early 2024.
Mar 29 – SC-217, Aeronautical Databases (w/ WG-44), will meet in a joint plenary session with EUROCAE WG-44 hosted by Boeing in Frankfurt, Germany. The group will review the current status of the progress on updates to DO-200B/ED-76A. They will also discuss the coordination needed with RTCA SC-227. Working sessions are scheduled that week and pre-registration is required to attend.
Mar 30 – SC-236, Standards for Wireless Avionics Intra-Communication System (WAIC) within 4200-4400 MHz (w/ WG-96), will meet in a joint plenary session with EUROCAE WG-96 hosted by Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) in Amsterdam. The group is considering entering an internal review on the MOPS for WAIC. Prior to the plenary sessions, working group meetings will be held. Pre-registration is required to attend.
Mar 30 – 31 – SC-135, Environmental Testing, will meet in its first joint plenary session with EUROCAE WG-14 since the publication of DO-160G in 2010. The group plans to review change proposals and enter a final phase to publish DO-160 Rev H in 2026.
Mar 31 – SC-159, Navigation Equipment Using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) (w/ WG-62), will meet in Plenary at RTCA in Washington, DC. They will continue work on the joint DPMC SBAS Receiver MOPS, as well as SC-159’s five other documents.
