Shelby Scarbrough
Shelby Scarbrough is the author of CIVILITY RULES! and an authority on protocol who has worked
at the White House and U.S. Department of State with U.S. presidents and foreign leaders. Her diverse career runs the gamut, from government affairs and international relations to entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and fundraising. Scarbrough worked with Pope John Paul II, U.S. presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, and Richard Nixon, Queen Elizabeth and members of the Royal Family, British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Pres. Nelson Mandela, and Pres. Lech Walesa of Poland. She planned events and meetings in locations such as the Vatican, Buckingham Palace, the Kremlin, and the White House. In 1990, she founded Practical Protocol, a special events management and business-protocol training organization. She has also served as the global board chairman for the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, a network of 12,000 entrepreneurs around the world.
