Christopher W. Sidor
Chris Sidor serves as the Chair of the Aircraft Design and Operations (ADO) group at the Air Line Pilots Association, International, representing the safety interests of over 77,000 pilots at 41 U.S. and Canadian airlines. Chris is a First Officer on the Airbus 319 & 320 at United Airlines, with over 6,000 flight hours and nearly 15 years of extensive aviation safety experience. He currently serves as an airline pilot and instructor for United Airlines on the Airbus 319 & 320 aircraft.
In his role as ADO Chair, Chris participates in industry groups addressing Flight Test Harmonization, OpSpecs, Mixed Phase and Ice Crystal Icing, Master Minimum Equipment Lists, Synthetic and Enhanced Vision Systems, Sustainable Aviation Fuels, New Entrants including Uncrewed Aerial Systems/Advanced Air Mobility, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Electronic Flight Bags.
Chris is an experienced aviator who has received Flight Instructor, Check Instructor, and Air Transport Pilot qualifications. He has Master’s degrees in Aviation Safety and Aviation Management from Florida Institute of Technology and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the same institution. Chris has experience in areas such as Accident Investigation, Human Factors, Safety and Fatigue Risk Management Systems, and has authored several papers on Aviation Safety topics.
