SC-220
Automatic Flight Guidance and Control Systems
SC-220 was established at the request of the FAA Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety to develop Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) and installation guidance for Automatic Flight Guidance and Control Systems (AFG&CS). To accomplish this SC-220 will develop:
A. MOPS for Automatic Flight Guidance and Control System and Equipment.
B. Installation Guidance Document for Automatic Flight Guidance and Control Systems.
SC-220's new performance standards and installation guidance will be used to support equipage of a wide variety of aircraft types including transport category airplanes, small business jets and commuters, small airplanes and rotorcraft.
