RTCA’s 2007 Forum will focus on System Wide Information Management (SWIM) and Network Enabled Operations (NEO) – what are they, how they work, what’s included, when they will begin to influence air transportation. The FAA and aviation community are implementing many information technology initiatives – ADS-B, Satellite Navigation, Data Communications, etc. SWIM ties them all together and net centricity will provide the functional capabilities needed for NextGen.
